There are lakhs of people in India who are deprived of even the most basic resources. The feeling of helping another human being, or an organization that exists to care for the marginalized, is truly rewarding, and hence, we encourage you to donate to the NGOs featured on Season 3 of Satyamev Jayate and support the important work that they do. Donating money and engaging more closely with the NGOs will not only positively impact society but will also profoundly impact you as an individual.
Moreover, Reliance Foundation, Satyamev Jayate's philanthropy partner, has pledged a donation of Rs 1 crore to support each of the causes featured in the six episodes of Season 3. Find below what each NGO plans to do with the funds facilitated by Satyamev Jayate and donate to be a part of the larger change.

Magic Bus India Foundation
Magic Bus India Foundation’s work was featured on Satyamev Jayate’s episode titled, ‘A Ball Can Change the World’. Parvati Pujari, the only person from her village pursuing her graduation studies today, joined Magic Bus’ programme when she was nine years old and currently, is a youth leader with the NGO. Like in the case of Pujari, Magic Bus has created change for around 2,50,000 children!
Your donation will enable the NGO to initiate and sustain a community-based development programme for children and youth in the states of Jharkhand (Ranchi), Bihar (Muzaffarpur) and Assam (Guwahati) to empower a total of 8,000 children in the areas of education, health, gender and socio-emotional learning. In these states, a majority of the tribal communities live below the poverty line. Therefore, Magic Bus’ programme will also help close the gap between poverty and opportunity, imparting skills in the children to move towards sustainable livelihood options.

SaveLIFE Foundation
Over 12 lakh people have lost their lives in the last decade to road crashes in India—with 15 deaths reported every hour. SaveLIFE Foundation is focused on improving road safety and emergency care across India. The NGO is also supporting the development of a new comprehensive National Road Safety Law and a Good Samaritan Law for India. Their PIL has secured a ban on trucks carrying protruding rods, a measure expected to save over 9,000 lives annually. Over the past three years, they have trained over 7,500 police personnel and citizen volunteers in emergency care training across three states, which has in turn led to over 150,000 road accident victims being successfully rescued.
Your donation to SaveLIFE Foundation will contribute to the reduction of road crash fatalities in India by establishing stronger and comprehensive national level policies to improve road safety and emergency care combined with innovative on-ground interventions such as training of police personnel and citizens in emergency care and of high-risk drivers in accident prevention techniques.

The Humsafar Trust
After the telecast of Satyamev Jayate’s episode on the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals, The Humsafar Trust was inundated with phone calls and emails seeking help. Various young LGBT individuals are now undergoing counselling and at the organization’s clinics and some have found renewed strength and greater self-acceptance.
Many LBT individuals face extreme violence and stigma with poor access to counselling and crisis-related interventions and need specialized services. Your donation to The Humsafar Trust will contribute to setting up a crisis cell with counselling services for LBT individuals and their families. A counsellor and lawyer will be hired for the same. Additionally, the NGO will also set up a drop-in centre for LBT persons in Maharashtra and Gujarat and developing resource rooms where LBGTQ materials (books, magazines, films, etc.) will be available. Conducting training programmes for different groups including parents and police officers is also part of the NGO’s future plans.

Operation ASHA
India is the TB capital of the world. Every year, a staggering 18 lakh people contract the disease, of which 8 lakh are infectious and about 3.7 lakh people die annually. In such a scenario, Operation ASHA is battling the disease with its committed on-ground workers who come mainly from disadvantaged communities and path-breaking use of technology to ensure complete treatment.
Your donation will aid the treatment of 3,152 patients of drug-sensitive TB, and 90 patients who are severely sick with multidrug-resistant (MDR) TB. A large section of the beneficiaries of this project will be those who live in absolute poverty, earning Rs 50 or even less a day. Centre for Health and Social Justice
On Satyamev Jayate’s Season 3 finale episode, we saw how important it is for men to take a step forward to break age-old patriarchal setups. In this vein, Delhi-based Centre for Health and Social Justice’s work shows that given the opportunity, there are a significant number of men who are willing to try out new, equitable behaviours at home and in public. Such men also take public action to challenge gender discriminatory practices and work towards setting new social norms.
Your donation will help the organization enable many more men to examine their own actions and move towards a gender-just society. The NGO will develop public campaigns and creative advocacy material to spread the message of gender justice throughout the country.
