Donation Reports

People from across the world reached into their pockets and donated generously to the 15 NGOs featured on Satyamev Jayate. Along with support from Reliance Foundation, a total of Rs 22.3 crore was raised. These organizations took steps, small and big, to make a difference.

Snehalaya
Since 1989, Snehalaya has been providing free healthcare and rehabilitation to the neglected and exploited in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. Besides working for women and children in distress, Snehalaya reaches out to children with special needs, unwed mothers, survivors of rape and sexual assault, people with HIV/AIDS, and victims of human trafficking.

Set up in 1999, Sambhaav Trust is a voluntary organization that works with communities towards social change in six states of India. It works on reviving and strengthening ecologies in more than 300 villages.

Prajwala is an anti-trafficking organization based in Hyderabad. It works towards the social, economic and psychological rehabilitation of survivors of sex trafficking. The organization provides survivors with basic education and livelihood training. Till date, it has rescued over 9,000 girls and women.

Founded in 1981, Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust in Delhi and Gwalior is dedicated to 'mainstreaming' persons with disabilities. It does this through inclusive education, vocational training for self-employment, community-based rehabilitation, barrier-free environments and medical assistance.

Founded in 2005, Delhi-based Maitri works in the areas of public health, violence against women and welfare of vulnerable populations. Among its other projects, it supports and helps empower abandoned, destitute and elderly widows in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh.

Childline India Foundation runs CHILDLINE 1098, India’s 24-hour emergency helpline for children in distress. Launched in 1996, CHILDLINE is available in 291 cities and districts in India. By 2017, the organization plans to make the helpline service available in all of India’s 630+ districts.
