I n my family, my dad‘s side relatives tell my dad to not spend on us

daughters. I wonder why my grandmother is also like this since she is a
woman herself. Can‘t she understand our feelings? We have three suicide
cases in our family. I believe that all of them did it because of pressure from
the family. I am very thankful to my mother‘s father for giving all the possible

support to my mother, my sister and myself.

I am in a very bad condition. I can see no other way out but suicide. But I

have to care for my daughter as well. I have no idea what to do.

M y dad passed away when we were very young. My mom struggled really

hard without any support from our relatives to bring us all up. She worked as a

tailoring teacher and managed to feed us. I‘m a doctor at a prestigious Delhi
hospital and my siblings are an engineer and a business executive at an MNC
respectively. At one point in life, we thought of committing suicide but we

have come up in life now. We are proud of our mother.

M y 31-year-old brother is taking treatment for OCD since the last ten years.

His treatment started in Varanasi and then continued in Delhi when I shifted

there for a job.

My brother moved back to Varanasi three years ago and takes the prescribed
medicines. However, he has the tendency of changing the dosage depending
on his feelings. He used to be very smart but his health is worsening day by
