My brother married a girl from another caste in a Delhi court last year. Her parents were not in favour
of the marriage. Four days after the wedding, they took the girl back with them saying that they will
organise a proper wedding ceremony for them. But since then, we are unable to contact the girl. They
have hidden her somewhere and the police is also not helping us. Please help us.

I am a simple girl from Bihar. I love a boy from the core of my heart. There is not even a second when I
am not thinking about him and he is not thinking about me. We are of the same caste but there is a
difference in mothertongue. His family is just not ready to accept us. What should we do? We really love
each other.

I’m working with a leading technology firm in Haryana. After seven years of going around, my girlfriend
and I got married last year. But I’m depressed. My wife is in her parents’ custody since the last seven
months. They were never in favour of the marriage because they are rich and powerful unlike my family.
They are not allowing her to come and stay with me. Please help.

I’m a 24-year-old student from Punjab. My girlfriend and I want to marry each other but her parents are
against us because I belong to another religion. We’ve been together for eight years. Her father hits her
with a wooden stick even though they are educated and rich. I approached the police but they warned
me that they can take action against me under false charges. I feel helpless. I feel that her father might
kill us.

My girlfriend was abused physically by her parents in her childhood. She is 25 now but her parents still
beat her and blackmail her emotionally because they don’t want her to marry me – a guy from another
caste. They have even tied her with a rope and poured hot water on her. They have threatened to kill my
family. She wants to get rid of her family and escape from her house in India but doesn’t know how to.
I’m doing my Master’s in San Jose, California and can’t do much since I’m so far away from her.

I’m pursuing CA. My girlfriend and I love each other a lot since five years but we feel helpless. Our
parents are strictly against love so we’re too scared to tell them about our relationship. We thought of
running away from home but we don’t know what to do. I’m willing to do any kind of accounting and
auditing work in Mumbai if someone can help us out.

I am an IT professional working in Chennai. My girlfriend’s parents are not in favour of our relationship
so I’m scared to say yes to her for marriage. I love her but I don’t want to face negative reactions from
her family after marriage. She is now very upset and says that she will finish herself if I don’t marry her.
