My parents married 55 years ago in a small town in West Bengal. My father is a Muslim and my mother
is a Hindu Brahmin. At the time of their wedding, my father was threatened with death. 55 years later,
they are still together and happy. My husband and I celebrated 26 years together last month. He’s a
Sikh. Religion has never been an issue with us. My girls have grown up respecting all religions and
people. For every failure, there are success stories like ours.
