M y daughter was diagnosed with schizophrenia when she was eight years

old. At home and at school, she started showing some problems. We had to
leave the city that we were staying in to meet doctors. At last, we found a
doctor who taught us very well about the disorder and gave us a proper class
on how to deal with the situation.

She stopped going to school then and stayed inside one room. I used to take
care of her and after three years, with the help of a convent school, she could

give an exam while staying at home. That school took that risk while most
schools say a big no for something like this.

Medicines, injections, regular meetings with our doctor—we did everything.
After five years of medication, we put her in class 7 in a regular school. It was a

bit hard since if she could attend school for two days, then she couldn‘t for the
remaining three days. But the school gave her full support.

Today, she doesn‘t need to take medication and is doing her higher studies.
She is scoring good marks. I feel the doctor‘s support, school‘s support and
family‘s support led us to this success. I want to tell everyone that I think that
schizophrenia is curable 100%.
