M y 7-year-old baby was sexually abused by a man aged 19 years in December
2013. I reported it to the police in April 2014 when I came to know about it. My
baby was with my ex-husband when the incident occurred. The police charged him
with the IPC 376/506/509 and the POCSO Act only in November 2014. Also, he
got bail.

I am studying animation. I was in class 3 when I was sexually abused by my cousin
chacha. This went on for two years. At that age, I had no knowledge about all this
and I was afraid of him, so I didn’t tell my parents.
When I was in class 9, I started understanding but thought that I would forget it.
But facing that man at weddings, passing fake smiles and hiding my tears broke me.
Last year, maine uski shaadi bhi attend ki jo main nahi karna chahti thi. Every night
I used to cry and every morning I used to pass fake smiles so that papa-mummy ko
hurt na ho.
Phir main college mein aayi but boys ke saath baat nahi karti thi. Mujhe sab ek jaise
dikhte the. Maine mere friends ko bata diya tha aur sab ne himmat di jisase main
mummy-papa ko bata saku. Holi ki raat ko maine mummy ko sab bataya aur baad
mein ghar pe papa aur bhaiya ko pata chala. Mummy, papa and bhaiya shock mein
the aur main depression se aaj bhi ight kar rahi hoon.
Ghar ke baaki logon ne step back kar liya because unka bolna yeh tha ki, “Ab kuch
nahi ho sakta hai because uss aadmi ki shaadi ho gayi hai.” Main police aur court
mein nahi jaana chahti hoon because I am just 21 and I have to make my own
career. But I want punishment for that person. My father and mother are ready to
support me. Par jab baaki logon ko yeh baat pata chali, matlab real chacha, bua aur
dada, unhone uss aadmi ko support kiya because woh family mein sab se rich hai.
Kya ek ladki ab ight nahi kar sakti? Kya society hi sab kuch hai? I am blessed
to have good parents but kuch girls ko parents bhi support nahi karte. Unko kaun
support karega?
