I was born in a small village in South India and now I work as a scientist in Europe.
When I was in class 5, my teacher sexually abused me. We used to sit on the loor
in the village school and he used to come and stand next to us during class hours
and thrust his feet under our skirt and do all inhuman things. I was not aware about
what he was doing and what the other girls were thinking about it.
I never spoke about this at home because I never realised that this was misbehaviour.
It appeared as though he did not have place to stand and so he was coming closer.
This was happening for a year.
When I grew up, I recollected my school days and realised that he misbehaved not
just with me but with almost every child in the class. I felt very angry and I have
even thought of iling a case against him.

I lost my brother when I was 3 years old
and since then, I was very close to my
uncle and dad. I used to sleep next to my
uncle and he used to touch me every day
saying that it was a secret game between
us and I shouldn’t tell anyone. My dad
also did the same to me. I understood
what was happening when I was in class
6 and I then said no to my uncle and he
didn’t touch me after that. But my dad didn’t stop. In class 10, I told him, “Please
don’t do all this. I’ll forgive you.” He just laughed loudly.
In class 12, I shouted at my dad for the irst time and he didn’t touch me after that.
He started torturing me badly because he knew I wouldn’t say anything to anyone
because of my love for my mom. I hated talking to my dad. I had to bear my mom’s
scoldings for many things but I still kept quiet to protect her.
