M y 18-year-old cousin brother abused me when I was 12. He used to come home

regularly and this happened whenever my mother went out. I was scared of letting
my mother go out. I remember the day when I sat in the passage outside my house
till she returned. Till today, I haven’t shared this incident with my family but now I
think I should speak up.

Y our episode took me back to my childhood. I was abused by my father’s younger

brother when I was 3 or 4 years old. It didn’t last for long as I retaliated. I still don’t
have the courage to tell my parents. I am happy about one thing—I was successful
in keeping my younger sister away from him. I salute the survivors who bravely
narrated their story to the whole nation.

M y cousin and mama abused me when I was a child. Years later, when I asked my
cousin why he did it, he bluntly said he had no idea what I was talking about and
said I must have been dreaming. As if I don’t know the difference between reality
and dreaming! It was so shameful.

never dared to share this with anyone. I was ashamed of myself. Being a man, I still
couldn’t protect myself.
