I was abused sexually by my maternal grandfather, my cousin brother, my tuition
teacher and my real brother. This started when I was 10 years old and went on till I
was 17. I used to be unable to sleep when my elder brother touched me in different
places. I used to cry in my mind but I was numb from within.
When I got married and lived in another house, I thought I would get my sleep back
but I still get nightmares and it haunts me still… very badly. I am in a very happy
relationship now. I have shared these dark secrets with my husband, despite the
fear of being judged and dumped. But he is very supportive of me and never does
anything to remind me of this phase of my life. However, I have one fear that scares
me—what if the same happens to my daughter?
