Depression has emerged as one of the leading causes of suicide in India in the last few years, especially among those between 15 and 30 years of age. In the first segment, Veena Ail whose teenage daughter committed suicide shares the pain she and her family are going through. Although a close-knit family, her daughter did not speak a word to them about what was going on in her mind. Leading psychiatrist Dr Harish Shetty talks about the importance of being sensitive and receptive to the signs of depression in people around us. Yatin Nadkarni and Aruna Prakash, who suffered from depression and even attempted suicide, talk about battling such feelings and explain what goes through the mind of someone facing acute depression.
