When TB Turns Deadly (Part 1)
The segment opens with Dr Shekhar Khandare whose sister Dr Samidha Khandare was headed for a promising career in medicine when she tested positive for TB of the eyes and brain. She died within 6 months of contracting the infection as the initial diagnosis was inaccurate. Leading chest physician Dr Zarir Udwadia explains why TB has emerged as a killer disease and what explains the emergence of its virulent strains.
