I liked the workshop with the kids on the show but what about those kids between
the ages of 2 to 5 who don’t know the meaning of danger? I know of an instance
where a father was abusing his daughter delicately and with love and the mother
happened to see this. The daughter, who by that time had just started understanding
parental love, thought that fatherly love was shown in only this way.
The mother left the house with her daughter and today, when she asks about her
father, the mother is unclear about what to say. The daughter still waits to hear that
her papa is coming to visit. What can the mother say when she doesn’t have proof?
How can she explain what the daughter has gone through? I am that mother.

M ain aaj ek MNC mein kaam karti hoon lekin uss baat ko abhi tak bhul nahi payi
hoon. Jitna bhi nahi sochna chahoon, main un lamhon ko bhul nahi paati hoon.
Main tab 2nd standard mein padhti thi. Tab se lekar mere saath kareeb 5 years tak
yeh hua aur mujhe pata bhi nahi tha ki yeh sab kya hota hai.
Main jab bhi unhe dekhti thi, darr ke maare meri awaaz band ho jaati thi. Mujhe
samajh nahi aata tha ki aisa mere saath kyun ho raha hai. Maine kabhi bhi apni mom
ko nahi bataya hai iss ke baare mein. Mujhe pata hai ki woh mujhe believe nahi
karengi kyunki bachpan mein padhai mein kamzor hone ki wajah se mujhe kai
pitai lagti thi. Itni pitai lagne ke baad mujhe apni mom se darr lagta tha. Main kisi
se nahi keh payi ki mujhe kya pareshani hai.

I am 27 years old and I was molested when I was 11 by my mum’s brother when
she was terminally ill with cancer and in the hospital. He came inside my room and
touched my chest whilst he gave me a hug. I didn’t know what had happened then
but when I look back now, I know he molested me. I have avoided him since that
day.
