T ears are lowing from my eyes. I cannot control myself and so I want to share my
story with you. In class LKG, UKG and class 1, this happened to me as well. The
man was my tuition teacher’s brother-in-law. He was a very bad uncle. He used to
send all the kids back home early and only make me sit with him. If my mom asked,
he would say that I had homework to do and that he would drop me home. We live
in Secunderabad.
He used to take me to the ground loor of a neighbouring house. There was
a bathroom in that house which was not used by anyone. He used to touch me
everywhere and sometimes even remove my clothes. As I was only in LKG, I didn’t
know what was happening. But it used to pain a lot.
I told my mom that I didn’t want to go to that tuition but she forced me. Because of
that man’s torture, I failed my UKG. I had started becoming very silent and didn’t
show interest in studies. My mom beat me very badly for not studying well and
she was upset with my behaviour as she was sending my sisters and me to school
against the will of my father who had always been against education for girls.
I failed UKG again and the school principal asked me to leave the school. My mom
was very upset and put me in another school where I had to go to the same tuition
teacher. After bearing it for about 2–3 months more, I decided to tell everything to
my mother. She cried a lot and was very shocked. Then she went to his house and
slapped him in front of me.
My mind was at peace. She immediately made me join another class and I started
performing well. Since then, I always stood irst in my class. Now I am married and
have a 5-year-old son. While seeing this episode, I was literally crying. I appreciate
the workshop you conducted for the kids at the end of this episode. I will deinitely
teach my son as well and tell all my friends and relatives.
