I am a mother of two children aged 7 and 4. My older son, when he was 4, came
to me and said he didn’t like it when uncle pulled down his pants. I was very polite
with my child and asked him what happened in detail. He said that every time uncle
does this. I said sorry to my son for leaving him alone and told him that I would tell
uncle not to do this and he should also tell him that he doesn’t like it.

My next step was to immediately call my husband and tell him everything. After 12
minutes, that uncle’s wife came home to ight with me and asked me how dare I say
what I did. Then, my mother-in-law started verbally abusing me and my husband
stopped talking to me. They all asked me how I could believe a 4-year-old and they
trusted the uncle believing that he hadn’t done anything wrong. Since he is my
sister-in-law’s husband, they asked me how I could say something like this about
him.

We are an educated family but from the inside, we are still uneducated. Now I
accompany my children everywhere.
